Teeth grinding while u're asleep?any remedies?

I%26#039;ve a 3 yrs plus son and I notice for the past 2 nites, he%26#039;ve been grinding his teeth while he was fast asleep. Wat cause it and any remedies for it?

Teeth grinding while u%26#039;re asleep?any remedies?
I don%26#039;t know what causes it, but the kids%26#039; pediatrician noticed one of the girls grinding her teeth. Hers are REALLY small from grinding. Anyway, she didn%26#039;t say much and neither did her dentist when I asked. Apparently they supposedly grow out of it when they get their %26quot;big teeth%26quot; and if it does happen to continue, then they discuss the possibilities of a mouth guard at night. As long as he doesn%26#039;t have headaches I guess it%26#039;s nothing they worry about.
Reply:ask your dentist
Reply:Im not too sure what u can do urself but my mum has to have a mouth gaurd to wear while sleeping. Ask a dentist about it.
Reply:definitely consult a dentist. grinding your teeth too much leads to headaches
Reply:I, too, am a night time grinder on occassion, usually stress induced.

My dentist doesnt like this and he does notice the change in my teeth.

You can go the route of very expensive and not very comfortable night guards from your dentists; they help prevent the grinding, or if you do grind your teeth, its against the night guard not enamel on enamel.

Or...

You can go to a sporting goods store and by and athletic mouth guard for a fraction of the price. The are not custom sized, but easily moldable and much more comfortable. I%26#039;ve gone thru a few of these since they are of softer material, but still at a seriuos fraction of the set made thru my dentist that I dont wear because its not comfortable.
